COMBO NEW STOCK Irwin Industrial 1904ZR 3/8-18 NPT Taper 3/8" Carbon Steel Pipe Tap
Overall length 2-9/16" WITH A MORSE MARXMAN 80049 37/64" drill bit FOR cutting new threads.
NOTICE - The drill bit has a 1/2" shank and can only be used in a drill or drill press with a 1/2" or large chuck
It is recommended that a small 1/8" or 3/32" pilot hole be drilled in the material before drilling the 37/64 hole for the tap

Notice- If you have not worked with NPT or IP size pipe or fittings before, be aware that 3/8" pipe does NOT measure 3/8" !! You can NOT measure your pipe or fittings with a tape measure and get the right size tap!
Pipe sizes do not refer to any physical dimensions. The outside diameter of a pipe or fitting must be measured and compared to a sizing chart for size identification.
The outside diameter of 3/8" pipe is .68" (approx. 21/32") and this tap will be about the same size
