Description
Rearview Mirror InstallerDesigned for re-installation of spring-loaded mirrors.
To Use: Just set the upper jaw against the rearview mirror, put the nylon block against the rearview mirror mounting bracket and squeeze the handles. The mirror is forced quickly and easily onto the mounting bracket with little or no chance of breaking the glass.
KlingOn™ Rearview Mirror Adhesive Kit
Equalizer® KlingOn™ Rearview Mirror Adhesive Kit contains enough material to adhere 200 mirror buttons. Unlike most brands, ours has a brush-on primer instead of spray. The adhesive has a gel-like consistency to keep it from running down the windshield.
To use KlingOn™, clean the glass and mirror bracket thoroughly. Brush the primer on the glass where the bracket will be installed and then brush the primer on the mirror bracket. Let the primer dry then apply two drops of the adhesive to the bracket. When you are ready to install the rearview mirror bracket, be careful to place it exactly where you want it. TIP: Most technicians mark on the outside of the glass to guide correct placement of the bracket since removal can be almost impossible after you have attached it. Be sure and wait 3-4 minutes before installing the rearview mirror back onto the bracket.
Kit includes 0.5 Fluid Ounce Bottle of Rearview Mirror Adhesive and 0.5 Fluid Ounce Bottle of Primer.
Spring Latch Rearview Mirror Removal Tool
The JMR357 allows you to slide the locking mirror bracket off a mirror button. Spring latch rearview mirrors have a small spring inside the bracket that is pushed down as you slide the mirror over the mirror button which then springs back into place, locking the mirror in place. Because this spring is hidden, it is difficult to release. Designed for use on Ford vehicles built after 2004. Made of high-impact plastic.
Removal:
Place the tool at the bottom of the mirror base, flat side against the glass and push the tool into the opening, compressing the spring. Then simply slide the mirror off the mirror button.
