For sale is this estate fresh and recently decommissioned from a lifelong toy collection in
southern
New Hampshire,
early 20th century
Metalcraft
vintage enamel painted pressed steel green, black and silver metal wheel, enclosed delivery truck. The green enamel of the enclosed rear is original, first generation enamel paint, with a yellow stenciled
'Metalcraft'
maker's name on the side of the box. The metal tires are painted in silver paint, as well as the cab's front grille. The cab has front metal fenders, while there are none in the back. Often missing with these enclosed delivery trucks is the rear, hinged tailgate. This isn't the case with this
Metalcraft
delivery truck. As mentioned, the green enamel appears to be first generation paint, while there's evidence the black enamel painted cab and undercarriage were repainted (resprayed) in black enamel at some juncture. A wonderful, early
