Vintage 1949 Cadillac Sedan Lapin Products
Green Plastic Post WWII Injection Molded Toy Car
Very collectible Lapin Toys were some of the very first
injected molded plastic toy vehicles ever produced in America.
Before and after the War many toy companies were
restricted on the types on materials (metal), much of
the manufacturing capability of the U.S. had
pivoted to wartime production.
Some of the toys were made from scrap material
from the manufacturing of gas masks and other
items produced for the war.
Produced by Lapin Products of Newark Jersey
in 1949 with the white plastic wheel sets.
Prior to 1949 the wheel sets were made from metal.
